Why VA4U

Embedded roles, not a queue of tasks.

Our professionals sit inside one client's business — in their systems, on their calls, trusted with real responsibility. That's a different job from bidding for tasks on a freelance platform, and it pays and lasts accordingly.

One client, one team

You're assigned to a single business and become part of how it runs. Many of our people have been with the same client for years and have grown into senior roles inside them.

Rate agreed up front

Your rate is in the job ad and confirmed with our recruitment team before you ever meet a client. No negotiating in the interview, no surprises after you start.

Vetted before you're shown

We skills-test, reference-check and ID-verify everyone, then present you to clients on a VA4U profile. You arrive with our endorsement rather than cold.

Hours you can plan around

Most roles run fixed AEST hours, which for the Philippines means an early start and your evenings back. You'll know the schedule before you apply.

Work that builds a CV

Property management, bookkeeping, paralegal, marketing, sales support. Specialist work in Australian systems and standards that transfers anywhere.

People behind you

You get a VA4U contact, not a ticket queue. If something goes wrong with a client, we handle it — that's the part a freelance marketplace can't give you.

Read this first

Four things to know before you apply.

We'd rather you know now than find out at the offer stage. If any of these don't fit your situation, that's genuinely fine — apply when they do.

1

Fixed schedule, one role

Unless a listing says otherwise, these are dedicated positions with set hours. We can't accommodate split shifts or a second job during your working hours. It isn't about trust — our clients rely on you being reachable through their whole day.

2

Rate is settled before the client interview

The rate is published in the listing and confirmed in your first interview with us. If it doesn't work for you, tell our recruitment team and withdraw — please don't raise it once you're in front of a client.

3

Backup power and internet are required

You'll need a backup connection and a plan for outages — a pocket WiFi, a UPS, and somewhere you can work within about an hour of home. We ask for a speed test and a photo of your setup during screening.

4

We use a time tracker

A lightweight tracker produces the activity reports clients see and makes sure you're paid correctly and on time. It does not take webcam photos. Your privacy matters to us.

How it works

From application to first day.

Typically two to four weeks, depending on how quickly the client moves.

1

Build your profile

One form, about 20 minutes. It produces your VA4U profile — the document clients actually read. Save a draft and come back whenever.

2

Record an intro video

Two minutes on camera, recorded on your phone. Clients watch these before anything else, and it's the single biggest thing that gets you shortlisted.

3

Screening and test task

An interview with our recruitment team, a short task relevant to the role, reference checks and ID verification.

4

Meet the client

We present your profile, you interview, and if it's a fit we handle the offer, onboarding and your first-week setup.

Questions

Frequently asked.

How long until I hear back?
We review profiles within two business days. If your profile matches an open role you'll hear from our recruitment team to arrange a first interview. If there's no current match we keep your profile on file and contact you when something suitable opens — you don't need to reapply each time.
Will you tell me if I'm unsuccessful?
Yes, we email either way. We can't give detailed individual feedback on every application, but if you reach the interview stage and aren't selected, we'll tell you why.
Can I apply for more than one role?
Yes. Your profile is reusable — apply to any listing that fits and we'll consider you for each. You don't need to rebuild it. If two roles suit you equally, say so and we'll tell you which is likely to move faster.
Do I need experience with Australian businesses?
Not for every role. Some positions need specific Australian software or compliance knowledge — property management and bookkeeping especially — and those listings say so. Many of our people started without it and learned on the job.
What equipment do I need?
Your own computer, a reliable primary internet connection, a backup connection such as pocket WiFi or mobile data, backup power, a headset, and a quiet place to work where you won't be interrupted during your shift. We'll ask you to show your setup during screening.
How are new roles announced?
New listings appear on this page as they open. Follow VA4U on Facebook or LinkedIn — we post every role there too.
